Natural Shampoo Bars

This is natural shampoo in a solid bar to clean hair and scalp without additives or chemicals !

Why change what I'm using?

- Chemical-laden commercial hair care products can cause a stubborn build up on the scalp and hair. Much of this is the same soap scum that causes the ring around your tub. These chemicals also strip us of natural oils and protection. These 2 processes disrupt normal physiology and growth patterns.

- Styling products plus waxes and silicones in commercial shampoos trap sebum and dirt leading to a variety of conditions, including dandruff, thinning hair and itchy irritated scalp.

- Our natural botanical ingredients gently clean without stripping away necessary protective oils.

How will I notice a difference ?

- Switching from conventional shampoo to a natural shampoo bar often means a transition or adjustment period. It's important for your hair and scalp to lose any kind of buildup that it has while it goes through a "Detox" period. We want your scalp to rebalance itself with natural oil production. Everyone is different - it may feel oily or dry or even a little itchy. This readjustment period can take a few days or up to a few months.

During this period of detoxing, your hair and scalp need time to expel toxins that have built up and re-establish a healthy oil balance.

How did you develop these Shampoo Bars?

When I lost my hair to chemotherapy I was appalled at the layer of "sludge" that was exposed on my scalp - even though I shampooed regularly, never used styling products and thought it was perfectly clean. Because my skin and scalp were so sensitive, I researched and developed these shampoo bars  so that they'd be suitable for most people, including those with hard water.  I wanted to protect and nurture every single strand as it grew back in after chemo and also wanted to make sure that that nasty scalp sludge didn't return. I couldn't be happier with the results!

What do I use after shampooing?

We recommend using an Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinse or Lemon rinse after using a shampoo bar. Hair needs a slightly acidic pH in order for the hair cuticle to lay flat and protect the underneath layers. Simply add 1 tsp - 1 tbsp of ACV or Lemon juice to 12 oz. warm water, saturate hair and scalp, leave for 20 seconds and lightly rinse. Mix up a fresh batch once a week. I also add  Rosemary Essential oil and Jojoba or Argan oil to my rinse.

Those with long hair may also want to use a natural conditioning bar on the ends.

I just wanted to tell you that I have tried both the shampoo and hair rinse.  Love them!  My hair was really soft afterwards.     From T.T. 9/25/2022
